Theatres to accept Bitcoin as a payment option to purchase movie tickets by the year-end

What if you go to a website to purchase the tickets for a movie in your favorite theatre and you get an option to pay in Bitcoins, wouldn’t that be amazing? In recent Bitcoin news, AMC theatres are going to make it possible by the year-end as they plan to accept Bitcoin as a payment option to purchase movie tickets and concessions ordered online.

When it happens, AMC will become the first theatre chain to accept Bitcoin as a payment method. The credit for this goes to the new enthusiastic investors of AMC theatres who are extremely positive about cryptocurrencies. They are hoping the business reaches new heights post-pandemic for this idea to become successful.

AMC Entertainment chairman and CEO Adam Aron has already given his verdict as he considers it a good move. It is an exciting way of earning money for investors considering the nature of volatility of this asset.

Bitcoin has seen an amazing recovery in the last couple of weeks as it is being traded around the $46,000 mark after dropping down below $30,000 in the last month. With Bitcoin, other major crypto assets have recovered significantly as well in the same time period.

However, the interesting thing to see in this scenario will be the enthusiasm of people. People have bought something luxurious by using their Bitcoins but will they be willing to spend a share of their Bitcoins for something as small as a movie ticket knowing how quickly their value changes?

In the past, people have regretted buying Pizzas using BTC and have made a fortune of money after picking over Bitcoin over Fiat currency as a Pizza delivery tip. This move can bring a variety of new and exciting stories as well which we will only get to know all this when theatres set up their IT system in place.
